The Tielman Brothers is a band from Indonesia. They are the children of Herman Tielman from Kupang and Flora Lorine Hess from Semarang Their music is rock and roll, but the people in the Netherlands call their music as Indorock, a blend of Indonesian and Western music, and has roots in Keroncong. The Tielman Brothers were the first Dutch-Indonesian band that successfully entered the international in the 1950s. They are one of the pioneers of rock and roll in the Netherlands. The band is quite famous in Europe, long before The Beatles and The Rolling Stones.Their recording career began when Tielman family emigrated in 1957 and settled in Breda, Netherlands.
